Korey Graham was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario. He excelled in Visual Arts and Computer Sciences - specifically, his passions were in clay and plaster sculpting in the Arts, and graphic design and technical programming with computers.
Korey was instantly fascinated with the Internet when he was first exposed to it in 1994-95. This breakthrough in global communication was so profound, his imagination of opportunities were virtually (pun intended) limitless. He discovered a site called Geocities and immediately signed up for his free account and began tinkering with the very basics of HTML. This was his first step towards a career path, then unknown to him.
In 2001, Korey moved to Peterborough, Ontario where he attended the Computer Engineering Technology course at Sir Sandford Fleming college. Although a course with valuable skill sets, his passion was not in it and he desired something of a more creative nature.
He later, in 2003, moved to Kingston, Ontario where he enrolled in the Web Productions course at St. Lawrence College. This was much more appealing to him and he had the opportunity to meet a future employer. The teacher of a Web Marketing course hired Korey into her company, Inter Kingston Web Design (now 14 Theories), where he was exposed to valuable knowledge on graphic and CSS design, ColdFusion development, and MySQL database integration.
Eventually, Korey took the knowledge and skills he learned and moved back to his home town where he began to apply himself to his own business ventures. Those experiences have lead him to Terran Creative.
Korey is a member of the International Webmasters Assocation. IWA, a professional trade association, is the industry's recognized leader in providing educational and certification standards for Web professionals.
Korey is a member of the HTML Writers Guild. The HWG was founded in 1994 as the World Wide Web's leading training organization for the Web design community.
In 2001 the Guild joined with the International Webmaster's Association to form IWA-HWG, the professional association for the growth of the professional web design company and individual.
Korey is a supporting member of the Web Standards Project. The Web Standards Project (WaSP) fights for standards that reduce the cost and complexity of development while increasing the accessibility and long-term viability of any site published on the Web.
